Chiropractic services & Decompression Traction System

Patients suffering from sciatica, back pain, or herniated discs can greatly benefit from spinal decompression therapy. According to research, this therapy is better than other therapies that deal with back pain. Spinal Decompression therapy focuses on the compressed disc that utilizes a distraction force to make it happen. The force gently pulls the spine apart, making the gap longer and it creates a small vacuum in between the vertebrae that pulls the spinal disc back into its original shape.

The vacuum allows the water, nutrients, and oxygen to gently enter the spinal disc letting it heal and relieve pain. This is called negative intra-discal pressure.

Toronto Ergonomics offers the latest technology and non-invasive treatment options to relieve and cure lower back pain and sciatica. FDA has approved Spinal Decompression Therapy to cure back pain because of the following:

  • Herniated Disc
  • Bulging Disc
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD)
  • Sciatica (Leg Pain)
  • Post-surgical Pain

Modes of Treatment

What is TENS Treatment?

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is a method that uses low voltage electrical current to stimulate pain relief.

How does TENS machine works?

A TENS machine is a small, battery-powered device with electrode pads attached. Electrodes are placed on or around the area of pain. When the machine is turned on, electric pulses are delivered to the area.

Low voltage electric pulses, reduces the pain via stimulating the nerve cells that block the transmission of pain signals. Nerve stimulation also increases the levels of body’s natural pain killers which causes a sense of pain relief.

What does TENS treat?

TENS treatment can be used to help reduce both chronic and acute pain such as muscle pain, muscle tension, muscle strain, neck and back pain, arthritis and other joint pain and sports injuries.

What Is Spinal Decompression/ Spinal Traction?

Spinal decompression is a computer-aided, nonsurgical technology that works by creating a vacuum inside the disc. That helps to draw in bulging discs and extruded disc material back into their correct position. This takes pressure off from irritated nerves.

For the best results, a treatment plan is created based on your individual needs by your healthcare provider.

What does Spinal decompression help with?

Spinal decompression helps to treat the symptoms of neck pain and low back pain caused by a variety of reasons including herniated discs, degenerative discs, bulging and slipped discs, pinched nerves, sciatica and spinal stenosis.

Ultrasound treatment

Therapeutic ultrasound is used to improve circulation and promote tissue healing. It also reduces pain and inflammation. Ultrasound treatment helps with healing and regaining function after injuries such as bursitis, tendonitis, or arthritis. It is also used to reduce knee pain, shoulder pain, and feet pain.
